Mint Artists Guild is proud to offer Creating Justice & Joy, a new exhibit that debuts Oct. 1 near downtown Detroit.

It features paintings created by 25 youth artists who worked in the Mint Creative Summer Jobs program of 2021 and 2022. Mint’s exhibit is intended to encourage conversations about how we contribute to greater justice and joy in our worlds and in the world.

The exhibit includes such themes as transgender rights, women breaking the glass ceiling and Black Lives Matter. It also has some happier paintings about joy, including two where ice cream is prominent.

Please download, print and share this event flyer.

An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 from 5 – 7 pm . Here’s the Facebook event so please invite friends and co-workers.

The exhibit will be up through Oct. 31. Some art will be for sale.

And if you like to color or think it will help reduce your stress levels, take home a free Joy coloring page by Mint Artists Guild!
