This afternoon is for Detroit artists ages 14 to 21 who already have registered with GDYT and want to work in the Mint Creative Summer Jobs program. Â Other youth development in the arts organizations will hold auditions and interviews too.
For Mint, these are job interviews so come with a creative and professional mindset.
Artists, please bring along one piece of your work, a resume (or a brief written summary of your skills and work or volunteer work experience) and a list of professional references – teachers, volunteer leaders, coaches count; friends and family do NOT. Â Take time to prepare for the interview with these tips.
Parents or grandparents may join us, but are expected to stay in a waiting area and allow the youth to participate in the interview on their own.
Interviews will take about 15 minutes but youth and adults may need to wait for longer to be considered. Please be patient!
